Origin of kite
Kite is invented by Chinese. It has a history of 2000 years. It is said that Mo Di made a bird with wood. He succeeded after 3 years’ study. Paper kite didn’t appear until Han Dynasty when Cai Lun invented paper.

How to choose a kite
1. According to yourself.
Don’t play big kites or sports kite if you are not young. You have to put forth your strength when you fly and control these kites. It is easy to hurt you. Beginners should buy traditional kites with fiber glass reinforced plastics skeleton. Such kites are easy to fly up. They are also cheap and harmless.
2. Balance
Volume, weight and elasticity should be symmetrically balanced. You can unfold the kite, keep it flat and lift it by its string. If it can still keep balance, the kite is OK.
3. Strings
Usually double strings are used on kites. Their length should be two times that of the kite. They should be vertical.
4. Material
Soft and dedicated silk is the best material. It is white and translucent. Some silk kites don’t feel smooth. They will make a big noise if you shake them. Such silk has been processed. It is easy to break down. Non-woven fabrics, nylon and plastic can be also used for kites.
5. Skeleton
The skeleton is an important part of the kite and should be determined by an experienced kite-operator, which can be found at local kite stores.
