You can see lucky patterns everywhere on Chinese traditional kites, such as happiness, dragon, phoenix, jumping carp and 4 seasons. Figures, animals, flowers, birds and lucky words are used in lucky patterns to express people’s good wish. Bats stand for good fortune. Pines and crane stand for good health and a long life. Dragon, phoenix, kylin and turtle stand for good luck.

How to choose a kite

1. According to yourself.

Don’t play big kites or sports kite if you are not young. You have to put forth your strength when you fly and control these kites. It is easy to hurt you. Beginners should buy traditional kites with fiber glass reinforced plastics skeleton. Such kites are easy to fly up. They are also cheap and harmless.

2. Balance

Volume, weight and elasticity should be symmetrically balanced. You can unfold the kite, keep it flat and lift it by its string. If it can still keep balance, the kite is OK.

3. Strings

Usually double strings are used on kites. Their length should be two times that of the kite. They should be vertical.

4. Material

Soft and dedicated silk is the best material. It is white and translucent. Some silk kites don’t feel smooth. They will make a big noise if you shake them. Such silk has been processed. It is easy to break down. Non-woven fabrics, nylon and plastic can be also used for kites.

5. Skeleton

The skeleton is an important part of the kite and should be determined by an experienced kite-operator, which can be found at local kite stores.

Life.

I am never alone.  I am alone all the time.  I feel indifferent.  My mind is changing and growing but my physical surrounding has remained the same.  I need the change, the repetition will hinder my mental growth.  I feel happy/sad, excitement/fearful, loving/anger.  I don’t know why we feel the way we do.  Do we really feel these feelings?  Are these trained emotions?  Do I love him/her because that is what is expected of me?  Do I do anything I really want to do?  Or just because I am expected to do these things?  So many questions, not enough time.  What is the meaning of all of this?  Life I mean.  My biggest fear is that we have no real purpose.  We were sent here to work and then die.  There has to be more to it.  We’ve all lost sight of our original intentions.  This world disgusts me so much sometimes, I can’t even live here.  I spend most of my days, living in my head.  Cowardly, maybe, but it’s my only means of retreat.  I want something different everyday.  I love you today, I’ll hate you tomorrow.  I don’t want to live in this repetition anymore.  I need a lover.  I need madness, chaos, destruction, and the ability to feel free.  I need a release.  I’m going to fly away.  Even after admitting all this, which I have countless times, I reach no new catharsis, I gain no deeper knowledge of myself, no new understanding from my telling.  This confession has meant nothing.

Earthquake, heart broken, strong linker

Next year, it will be the 60th Anniversary of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. 173 days and 58 years ago, our fathers brought forth upon this land a new nation, conceived in the people’s democratic dictatorship and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created republic. Now we are engaging in a great but hard war between nature and human being. From 12th May, 2008 so far, we are met on the battlefield of this earth quake and we have come to dedicate a portion of that field as a final-resting place for those who gave their lives that more people might live, and for those survivors and victims who suffered from this terrible sudden catastrophe.

Why am I tearful in my eyes? Cause I deeply love this land.

This tragedy cannot work to destroy the national consciousness of the Chinese people. All the nation people had contributed to their utmost power to help the suffering people. Some famous entrepreneurs represented the group or the individual contributed their money to the victim people. Earth quake happened in Sichuan province, but also shocked the world. Spiritually International covered to call for rescue actions; rescue teams have arrived in quake-hit areas to assist local disaster relief efforts. Rescue teams from Japan, South Korea, Russia and Singapore arrived in quake-hit Sichuan’s provincial capital Chengdu. They then headed to some of the worst-hit areas such as Qingchuan, Shifang and Mianzhu cities to carry out rescue work. In wealth, Offers of help are coming in thick and fast. Flags are to be kept at half-mast and all public amusements will be suspended for three days from Monday as China begins an official mourning period for victims of the May 12 earthquake. 6~.K$r+B6u(h.L+F7p Abusiness forum, trade forum, business opportunity,Business China,Business India,Brazil businessThe State Council, the Cabinet, on Sunday ordered a nationwide display of respect for the dead. The Olympic torch relay will also be suspended from Monday to Wednesday. China’s diplomatic missions abroad were also ordered to observe the order, and condolence books are to be opened in the Foreign Ministry and Chinese embassies and consulates around the world. The public are asked to stand in silence for three minutes from 2:28 p.m. on Monday, while automobiles, trains, and ships would sound their air sirens.

But, in a larger sense, we can not give up, we can not desert, we can not abandon this ground. The brave men, living and dead have consecrated it far above our power to add or detract. In a further sense, the great concentrated patriotism Chinese people expressed had attracted the world also. In the other sense, we cannot forget, we cannot neglect, the friendly men, spirit support or matter support have denoted their extreme sympathy. We definitely understand that the world will little note what we say here, but it can never forget what they did. And now, it is for us, the living, rather to be dedicated to the great battle remaining before us, that from these honored dead we take increased devotion to that cause, contributed to your little power, maybe you can stretch the blue sky for them. I believe that a phoenix that rises from its ashes will be even more dazzlingly beautiful.
