This may look like a long distance shot of a restored castle from back in the day, or a picture from a high school history book, but it’s not. Actually, this is a close up picture of a castle made entirely of Legos. Believe it or not, but there is this one and an entire city to go along with it. A good friend of ours discovered this during a trip to Germany. I’m not quite sure of the details as far as location, who created it or why, but I do believe this is worth a nice chunk of change. Within the city, there is a Lego Colosseum, an airport, a soccer (football) field, and more. Whoever it is that had this idea probably ended up banking from this now that it is a standing structure and thousands of people view it every day. I know the next time I’m in Germany, I’ll be sure to stop and check it out. Being the fact that this is IncTrade, its important to mention the business side of things in this. If you think about the investment, it couldn’t be more than a few hundred dollars to buy enough legos for a city (probably 200,000 pieces?). Having the skill is another thing, but had you created one, the return on the investment could be phenomenal to display it at arts and craft shows. Just a thought. Anyhow, below are some pictures, some in more detail, of the logo city.

Lego airport terminal, yes the inside of the plane has detail too.

The entire city, very intricate.

A Venice like city, the water is real.

Yes, all of those are actually lego people. It is supposed to be somewhat of a lego Colosseum.
After looking around a little bit, I found a very interesting link to this stuff. Apparently it is a big deal and people do this as a hobby… and some as a profession. Here’s a link to some other lego cities if you’re interested. Enjoy.

There’s a tendency in everyone to share information. As a frequent visitor of BusinessWeek Online, I always check up on the Best Young Entrepreneur section. Below is our share with you of an ideal candidate for any entrepreneur award. He’s the perfect example of a growing business person that hasn’t quite blown up the charts, but has the goal in sight to do so.
The definition of a “young” entrepreneur is changing, this is why Ben is remarkable. It seems that the majority of young entrepreneurs are in their lower to mid twenties, which used to be young, but people like Ben are really changing that all around. This is an increasing number of “baby boomers,” as we like to call them. They’re showing up everywhere lately- especially in the design and software industries. Perhaps they have been around for a while and the media is beginning to find a niche in it? For those in situations similar to Ben’s, we recommend you get out there and spread your name. If you’ve got a great idea and you’re only 15, why not? Let us know here at IncTrade what you’ve got going on… even better, let the world know your great ideas- theres never enough young talent out there!

We now live during a period coined “The Information Age,” and it definitely wouldn’t be considered such a thing without the evidence to back it up. A very important company based in Huntsville, Alabama, has really made some excellent feats that have really made the current age live up to its name. Having been everything from an early ISP to a computer support company, they’ve been through the waves. It wasn’t until 1999 that they came across a niche that is very unique in spreading information. Two words: Live Webcast. LiveOnTheNet emerged as one of the Internet’s premiere live content producers having hosted such diverse and notable events as the Cannes Film Festival, the Fender Guitar Catalina Island Blues Festival, Bluestock 1999, Paul McCartney’s Buddy Holly Dance Party from New York’s Roseland Ballroom, and the 2400th anniversary of the city of Marseilles, France.
Remember guys, that was in 1999. Interesting.
LOTN progressed from live broadcasts to focusing on VOIP (voice over IP) in 2005. Their goals are to help spread free long distance voice communication through the internet and mesh with popular social networking sites (especially with a Facebook application). This is just one of many reasons why we’ve featured them as our company of the day. Check out their website for more information and their current projects.
